Domaine ALARY selected as one of the Best Wines of France 2023!

 

For the newest edition of the sacred book “Le Guide des meilleurs vins de France” (litteraly translated, The Guide to the best Wines of France), published each year by the prestigious magazine Revue du Vin de France, we are very happy and proud to announce that we have been selected in the Cairanne category for this year 2023 !

 

United we Stand !

The return of Jean-Étienne in 2016 after many travels gave a great boost to the Domaine, solely managed until then by his father Denis, with the help of one employee. Thanks to the experience he acquired in prestigious vineyards in Australia, New Zealand and Burgundy, Jean-Étienne brings his highly qualitative technique and new ideas, while maintaining the traditions set up by his father. Denis and Jean-Étienne work every day, side by side, to find the right balance between traditional methods and technical innovations. And it works ! As the critic writes:

“We appreciate the honesty of the wines, the quality of the fruits and the management of the extractions of this Domaine.

The reds are a success. The Tradition cuvée suffers a little from the maturity of the grapes, the solar impact underlines the aromas; the palate confirms this substance, presenting a more candied fruit and a high alcoholic degree. We prefer the more distinguished style of La Brunote, which asserts itself with more freshness and balance. L’Estevenas Rouge 2020 displays the aromas a magnificent expression of northern Syrah: precise, with pepper and violet. The palate is powerful, but fits into the overall harmony of the vintage. L’Estévenas Blanc 2021 is precise : the very ripe Roussanne is channeled by the tension of Clairette. »
